I'm Alastair Dandy - just some guy with a camera, or two, in Seaton Carew.

I take pictures of things which make me think: I'd quite like a picture of that.

I have a fairly large collection of 35mm cameras and I like to select a different one, each time I load a film.

I've just got back into developing films, using the Caffenol-C process.

At the moment, this blog is about 60-40 analogue and digital.

I noticed there is a dark band on the left of the photo after I’d scanned the negative. I don’t know what this is - it seems to be on the negative - but I don’t think it detracts from the image much. Perhaps it is an illusion.
